2008 Spokes Model Program

Every Spring Positive Images kicks off its Spokes Model Program, which is designed for High School juniors. The programs goal is to inspire and hire students who are self-motivated, confident, outgoing, and have a positive attitude that is consistent with our studios philosophy. We predominantly hire juniors from local High Schools in Oakland and around the Bay Area who want to take pictures at our studio. Therefore, we believe that it’s imperative to provide a wonderful and memorable experience!

On February 23rd we had our first orientation, which was a great turn out. Most of the students who were accepted to the program showed up, and booked their sessions after orientation. Sessions took place at the studio, at Lake Merritt and at Crown Beach in Alameda.

The great advantage about the program is that Spokes Models earn credit for their participation in the program. They accumulate credits toward their own senior pictures, and prizes are given to those Models that do extremely well. Therefore, this program does not cost our Models anything, unless they wish to purchase senior portraits before earning credits. And so, I am happy to announce that the program is starting to show success, so stay tuned as the ongoing progression of our program develops.

Hi Veronica
When I begin reading your post, my first impression was that you were going to inform me on how to promote businesses in general. Then I quickly realized, this was somewhat of a promotion and marketing for Positive Images.

It is great you are trying to promote your business but be cautious before submitting your post. The 2008 Spokes Model Program you speak of throughout, was mispelled twice.

You may also want to think of shortening your paragraphs by breaking them up into smaller ones.

Including some quotes from happy customers could have got the point of good promoting across.

Good job and just make sure you read through your post before submitting. Here is a site with some helpful writing tips.

Hello Veronica,
This blog post is focused to a very small population of readers. To take anything away from it, I would have to know a high school junior. Sure it is that time of year where people will look for grad pictures, but isn't the spring/summer time heavy on weddings as well?
Having a spokes model program opened to more than just juniors in high school might promote your business to a larger population.
After looking at the website it seems there is a large emphasis of family. Spokes models could range from a whole family, a newly wed couple, as well as a high school junior. Including a want ad for these people on this blog would entice a wider variety of people to read it. Even if you don't have any intentions on using them, mentioning it would help blog circulation.
I like this idea of a reference list. Maybe it could work for your business as well.

Hey Veronica

When I was a high school senior I never ended up getting additional photos taken by an additional photographer other than the one the school had provided. Granted they did get a better photographer for senior pictures and you could buy a package. I do know some people who went ahead and had pictures taken outside of the school and I think it would be good for you to really emphasize why it would be a good choice to go to your studio. Also as Caleb mentioned if your company does anything with weddings I would suggest you talk about that because as college comes to an end some people if they have not already move on to get married, so I would say it is more in our age bracket than senior photos. Another topic I would recommend you writing on is Graduation Announcements this could be for high school or college. I just ordered mine through Signature Anouncements .
