The Wedding Style of Gisele...

It is Gisele's intent to capture your wedding day in a series of storytelling portraits that document all the romance and emotion of your special day. To accomplish this, Gisele blends a combination of traditional color portraits with a black & white photojournalism style. Captured by two professional Photographers, like Russell Foote and Stephen DeVaughn. The resulting images allow a custom story-telling album to be designed with more depth and texture than coverage from the perspective of one camera. Gisele believes that every bride & groom is unique and individual. Therefore, her philosophy is that wedding portraits should be designed to fit you and you loved one. Gisele does not attempt to push prospective clients into a preconceived type of coverage. Because while the basic framework of her Heirloom Wedding Portrait Service is there as a foundation, the actual details of coverage for your wedding will be tailored to your individual style, through the consultation design process

If you select Positive Images to create your Wedding Portraits, Gisele will invest the necessary time to establish a relationship with you prior to your wedding. Therefore, on wedding day, Gisele is very clear on your wishes, which will allow you to trust her skill & judgment. And when you do, the results are a blend of natural and beautiful images of your love that you will love and that will last you a lifetime.

The Love Story Session

Gisele believes that the Future bride & groom are definitely a work of art. Every couple in love has a beautiful story to tell. Therefore, the Love Story Session we provide becomes an opportunity to capture what your love looks like in an artistic way.

In addition to creating beautiful romantic images, the Love Story Session has a very important extra benefit: it gives Gisele the opportunity to observe how you interact with your better half. She begins to see how your body shapes fit together, and begins to teach you about positioning. By the end of the Love Story Session, you will both have a clear idea of how Gisele works and communicates while creating portraits. The process results in the three of you being in sync come wedding day, giving you one less marital day worry. Plus, you get the opportunity to have one of your favorite Love Story portraits at your reception.

And as the summer approaches, our wedding Season is approaching as well. Whether it’s a local wedding or out of town, Gisele is ready. When clients hire Gisele to be their Wedding Photographer, clients are hiring a dependable and skilled Photographer. Gisele will spend her entire day capturing those important and very special moments. Here is a sample of one of our most recent wedding, which was an out of Town wedding in Yorba Linda.

Gisele is a firm believer in the importance of capturing every moment of her client’s special day.

Beautillion 2008-‘A man Among Men’

On Saturday, March 29th, 2008, Gisele had an exclusive gig with The San Francisco Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Jack and Jill of America have been dedicated to "empower youth to excel through leadership and service in our communities." Rochelle Fortier Nwadibia, President of the San Francisco Chapter, explains that the San Francisco Chapter is committed to provide a meaningful service for the advancement of all children in our community, especially African-American children. Also wholeheartedly embrace and support the work of the Jack and Jill Foundation in its quest to advance the cause of children across the nation.

Since 1938, Jack and Jill have served communities across America improving the quality of life through volunteer service, leadership development, and kind generosity. And on March 29th, the celebration of “Building Pillars of Strength and Integrity for Future Generations,” paid tribute to the accomplishments, hopes and dreams of ten outstanding young men who are committed to becoming future leaders within the African American community and beyond.

As the official contracted photography studio for the 20th anniversary of this celebrated tradition, it is a true honor. Positive Images understands the essence of Jack and Jill, so is able to capture emotional Candid’s throughout the event.

Spokes Model Session

Our program this year has definitely kicked off! This week we shot some great sessions and are looking forward to the remaining ones. Spokes Models are no joke this year; they're on point with bringing a variety of clothing changes, which personalizes their session. For example, this model plays soccer and decided to incorporate this activity to her personal session.

Our Spokes Model’s enthusiasm and Charisma definitely shows in their sessions, so for those Models that haven’t done their session yet, it’s looking quite fierce!

2008 Spokes Model Program

Every Spring Positive Images kicks off its Spokes Model Program, which is designed for High School juniors. The programs goal is to inspire and hire students who are self-motivated, confident, outgoing, and have a positive attitude that is consistent with our studios philosophy. We predominantly hire juniors from local High Schools in Oakland and around the Bay Area who want to take pictures at our studio. Therefore, we believe that it’s imperative to provide a wonderful and memorable experience!

On February 23rd we had our first orientation, which was a great turn out. Most of the students who were accepted to the program showed up, and booked their sessions after orientation. Sessions took place at the studio, at Lake Merritt and at Crown Beach in Alameda.

The great advantage about the program is that Spokes Models earn credit for their participation in the program. They accumulate credits toward their own senior pictures, and prizes are given to those Models that do extremely well. Therefore, this program does not cost our Models anything, unless they wish to purchase senior portraits before earning credits. And so, I am happy to announce that the program is starting to show success, so stay tuned as the ongoing progression of our program develops.

2008 High School Senior Portraits.

When it comes to senior portraits, it is extremely important that the selected photographer understands what the senior wants. And at Positive Images, we do so. We are not your ordinary photography studios going after school contracts. We believe that senior portraits should be a unique reflection of the senior’s personality. Therefore, our products don’t emphasize quantity they emphasize quality! And communicating this to our clients is essential because creating a quality product takes time. We focus on every detail because we understand that every senior is different, so we make sure to bring out the personality in every senior. At our studio we want our clients to relax and simply have fun because when clients are having fun they look great.

If you are a senior, or know a senior looking for a photographer, call us to schedule a senior consultation. You will soon discover and appreciate the personal attention we provide in your appointments. Remember, our goal is to make your senior portraits different from everyone elses!

Come join us at the Black Expo July 19-20, 2008.

Black Expo 2008
Positive Images will be a vendor at this year’s Black Expo 2008, the largest African American event in Northern California designed to promote African American economic development. Black Expo offers companies, large and small, the opportunity to access a lucrative, often overlooked market. No other event in the Bay Area is designed to focus the spotlight on and contribute to the economic empowerment of the African American community. The bottom line is that no other event receives the same level of community, and that’s why we have been participating for over ten years. No matter how busy we are at the studio, we make sure to attend every year because we recognize that no other event in the Bay Area is strongly identified as a showcase event benefiting our community.

There are many benefits when attending the Expo, so on behalf of everyone at Positive Images we invite you and your loved ones to come join us. Not only will you find new business opportunities, you will also end up making new friends. You are definitely guaranteed to gain useful information that will improve your life throughout the year. If anything, you can also find new jobs and hobbies. So come out July 19-20 and find businesses to patronize Expo weekend and throughout the rest of the year. If you don't want to miss this event, advance tickets will be available after May 2008. Hope to see you there!
